When I was high school
student, I belonged to brass band club and played Horn, so I like to play
music. Brass band music is enjoyable. However playing brass band music is not
only pleasure but also difficult and practice is very important.
First, I have to
practice my own. It is very important to make music. I have to try to
understand a score and think that what kind of music or how should I play. After reading score, I should play and play. In my case, I’m not good at making a
high pitched tone, so I used to practice it.Second, I have to practice with same part player. Through this practice, we control harmony. Also it’s important to unite with member of same part.
Finally, all member of brass band practice together. It is ensemble. In ensemble, I hear another part and control my sound. I think it is the most difficult.
In short, brass band is very good thing but it is needed practice. However, the most important thing in playing music is to enjoy and feelings.
